Around The House

With our record breaking snow filled winter it has been easy to stay cooped up inside to just be lazy and stay warm. Being indoors has allowed me to go through some of my boxes of stuff to try to organize or put to use. I am a bit of a pack rat and I also like buying things that are pretty or just cool. Because everything is so minimal and neutral in this house (as opposed to our previous place), I am having a challenge trying to incorporate some of these things into the layout.

So until I figure how to put everything together here are photos of some of the items in question - the majority of the pieces are souvenirs from my trips overseas over the last couple of years.

That's a pretty fabulous collection I must say. You may tend to keep things around, but obviously for very good reason.

That scarf is amazing, where in the world did you find it? I've never seen something quite like that before. Is it just random words or does it hold a particular message?

That's cool, I didn't remember you getting the stamps in Singapore. I bought coins that came in a similar case though. Did you get them from the street vendor also?

Surprisingly the scarf I found in Edmonton. The writing on it is random dates in different languages mixed in with random words.

The Singapore stamps were from that street vendor during our time down Orchard Road. I also bought that Asian piggy bank from the same place.
As well from some other vendors I also bought a butterfly specimen and a hand-painted cherry blossom lamp.
